Tired of feeling stuck? Let's figure out what's keeping you there.
If you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure where to start, therapy can help you make sense of what you're carrying. At Wildflower Therapy & Wellness, individual therapy sessions are personalized to help you find clarity, relief, and confidence to move forward at your own pace.
A Space That's Just for You
So much of life asks you to show up for everyone else. Individual therapy is time set aside for you: a place to slow down, speak honestly, and be met with understanding instead of judgment.
You don't need to have everything figured out before your first session. Some clients come in with a clear goal. Others just know something feels off and want help understanding why. Either way, we'll start where you are.
What Individual Therapy Can Help With
Our Plymouth therapists work with adults facing a wide range of challenges, including:
-
Anxiety and worry that keep your mind racing or make it hard to relax
-
Depression and low mood that leave you feeling drained, flat, or disconnected
-
Stress and burnout from work, caregiving, or the demands of daily life
-
Trauma and difficult past experiences that still affect how you feel today
-
ADHD and the frustration of struggling with focus, organization, or follow-through
-
OCD and intrusive thoughts or compulsions that take up time and energy
-
Relationship challenges with partners, family, friends, or coworkers
-
Life transitions such as a new job, a move, a breakup, loss, or becoming a parent
-
Self-esteem and self-doubt that hold you back from the life you want
Our Approach: CBT and Person-Centered Therapy
At Wildflower, we combine two well-researched approaches so therapy is both practical and deeply personal.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps you notice the thought patterns that fuel anxiety, low mood, and stress, and gives you concrete tools to respond to them differently. Many clients appreciate leaving sessions with strategies they can use right away.
Person-centered therapy keeps you at the center of the process. Your therapist offers warmth, empathy, and respect for your experience, trusting that you're the expert on your own life. This creates the kind of safe, honest relationship where real change becomes possible.
Together, these approaches help you build self-awareness, develop healthier coping strategies, and make changes that last.
What to Expect
Your first session is a chance to share what's bringing you in, talk through your goals, and ask any questions you have. You'll never be pushed to share more than you're ready to.
Ongoing sessions focus on understanding what's getting in your way and building skills to move forward. Your therapist will check in regularly about what's helping and adjust the plan as you grow.
Your pace, always. Like wildflowers, people grow in their own time. There's no timeline you have to meet.
In-Person and Online Therapy
We offer individual therapy in person at our office in downtown Plymouth, as well as secure online sessions for adults anywhere in Michigan. We also welcome clients from Canton, Northville, Livonia, Westland, and surrounding communities.
